Watch at Home: ‘Vita & Virginia’ & more from female filmmakers

FF2 Media’s new “Watch at Home” columns list the new films written and/or directed by women filmmakers that are newly available each week on DVD, Video On Demand &/or streaming services.

Here are the new films written and/or directed by women filmmakers now available at home as of 8/30/2019 (with links to FF2 Media reviews posted the week of their theatrical release):

  • Angel of Mine – Kim Farrant (director)
  • Vita & Virginia – Chanya Button (director/co-writer), Eileen Atkins (co-writer)

This week’s selection is Vita & Virginia. I haven’t seen either film and it’s the one that sounds the most interesting of the two.  Scheduling conflicts prevented me from attending a screening of Vita & Virginia during TIFF last year.
